Conjunctions and Conjunctivitis
Okay, so I have not been very good about keeping up with my blog. I promise that I will try to be better about it. Well, a lot has happened in the last month and a half. The biggest thing, of course, was Chinese New Year or Spring Festival. The Spring Festival is the biggest holiday in China. I would have to compare it to Christmas in the States. During the festival (which lasts about two weeks) people usually return to their hometowns and spend the festival with their families. At midnight on the first day of the New Year, the sky erupts into a war zone of fireworks. For about an hour night seems to turn to day, and the constant sounds of exploding fireworks ripples through your body. It is truly extraordinary to witness. During the holiday, all of the students and teachers left my school, and many of my friends left town. I was hoping to have some much-needed downtime, but that didn’t happen.
